In July 1995, Jesus Embassy was planted by the Redeemed Christian Church of God Freedom Hall, Apapa, Lagos, in the old UTC Stores, Cocoa House Complex, Ibadan. The primary focus of the vision: is to preach the gospel with accuracy, excellence, and relevance at all levels of society. Psalm 67:4″…governing the nations upon the earth.”
Pastor Ghandi Afolabi Olaoye, who is now the pastor of RCCG Jesus House, Washington DC,USA, and crown prince of Ogbomoso, was the first pioneering pastor of Jesus Embassy (Apapa Family), lbadan. In December 1995,after his deployment to Jesus House, USA,Pastor Niran Fafowora became the pastor in charge,before he was deployed to pioneer the establishment of Jesus Embassy, Los Angeles in 1999.
Pastor Francis Madojemu thereafter became the pastor in charge of The RCCG Jesus Embassy, Ibadan.The Lord in His infinite mercy and grace, made it possible in December 2002,for the church to make a cogent move of acquiring her own property. The church then moved from the Hall of Praise, Cocoa House Complex, to her own property called, God’s Favorite House at 14 Obafemi Awolowo Way,Oke-Bola,lbadan.
Pastor Jide Ojurongbe became the pastor in charge in 2006 after Pastor Francis Madojemu was transferred to RCCG Jesus Palace. It was from here Pastor Francis left to start a new ministry.
It was in 2008, in an amazing move of God,tagged Project 42,Oyo Province 4 Was emerged
with Jesus Embassy as the headquarter and Pastor Jide as the pioneer pastor in charge.
In 2015, Oyo Province 4 gave birth to Oyo Province 12 with Jesus Chancery as the headquarter and Pastor Wale Popoola as the pioneer Pastor in Charge of the Province.This move erupted several greater things that we cannot but say that God has been good to the RCCG Jesus Embassy Family.
We must of necessity emphasize the fact that God has been faithful to us and by His grace the church has not deviated from the primary purpose for which she was established,that is;for the purpose of propagating the gospel and societal reformation.
In 2022, a year of “Perfect Jubilee,” The Redeemed Christian Church of God is 70years,40 years of Holy Ghost Services, and the 80th birthday of our dear Daddy,Pastor E.A.Adeboye, the General Overseer. Also, God extended His grace and goodness to us in Region 21,under our outgoing Pastor in Charge of Region, Pastor C.A.F. Obasa, in the birth of a four new provinces and a new Region-RCCG REGION 42- with headquarters at The RCCG Jesus Embassy,Oke-Bola,lbadan.
